hey guys
make sure to sign your posts so the "r" man knows who you "r", unless, of course, you would like to leave anonymous love letters ;)
rDubs.

when rDubs and i first began talking, we hit it off right away...immediately joking and laughing becoming friends instantly. we connected on both being libras and believing in that good magical untouchable stuff. his energy and vitality for life amazed me...his drive combined with a lightness of spirit...i admired it so much.
rDubs, you've brought light to my life and now i'm sending you an abundance of it back.
i believe in you and the incredible strength of your mind and body.
your friend,
steph

First Encounters
We have way too many stories to share in the near future. I've been building a database full so that when you are all ready to hear me blab I can pull out something witty. Nevertheless, I doubt anything will ever beat the tears we shared the first day we met with drinks in hand and crazy stories to share in the most embarassing cipher ever (thanks Licsi!). So, to keep your latest blog "real," I thought I'd leave you a crazy ass image.

Foresight in Hindsight
I was at your office last week and asked Christina to leave a note on your desk. The note was written in the future time frame of after you were well and back to work. I was attempting to be clever and futuristic. The note said something like "I'm glad you're all better. Prayers work." or something like that. But instead of leaving it on your desk to find when you returned, she sent it to your family. But at the time you were still in not so good condition. I felt a little weird that it wasn't read in its proper context, but figured you'd understand the gesture. Dude, you're a loved person by all who know you.
May the Force Be With You, Jedi.
Will see you soon.

Rodney & The Sky

Rodney and I spent 7 days in Costa Rica last month. No cell phones, no internet, no blackberry. It was the most relaxing, amazing vacation we had ever been on. We went to yoga everyday, laid on the beach, played badminton, read on the porch while it rained, hiked, ate, drank, rode bikes, followed ants, dodged crabs, made friends...
The last two days of our trip I surprised him with a reservation at the most MAGICAL (his word) place ever... the Eco Lodge- Cerro Coyote. Our room was at the top of a beautiful mountain with views of the Pacific and 360 degree windows. We spent most of the time sitting/standing/laying, but always LOOKING out at the amazing view.
I just taped this photo on top of the TV screen in his hospital room to remind him of this marvelous view and to give him something magical to picture in his mind while he recovers. Miss you baby.

the view we both love
post. post. post
as many of you already know, rodney was in serious accident on may 3.
there was no nerve/organ damage, but he was pretty banged up... broken bones etc.
he did, however, suffer a severe concussion which is why he has been heavily sedated for the past few weeks.
over the past few days his sedation has been lifted and we have been encouraging his recovery through stimulating his thoughts etc.
this blog was created so we can all make posts to help him come into his own again
please post pictures, videos, music, happy memories, funny stories, inspiring words, i you name it: anything that will stimulate him and remind him of who he is... the amazing rodney whom we all love.
if your thoughts are with him let him know.... and continue to let him know... we are all aware of rodney's love for expression and i truly believe this will have a positive impact on his recovery.
